B.C.'s Ministry of Agriculture and Food is planning to deliver water management workshops throughout the province in an effort to support food producers as they cope with ongoing dry conditions.
The workshops are part of the province's Climate Change Adaptation Program, which was introduced to help agricultural producers address the impacts of climate change on their farms.
The workshops will share better practices for irrigation, and also make producers aware of funding programs that producers can access for things like equipment, water storage and infrastructure support, said Mark Raymond, executive director of the Ministry of Agriculture's extension and support services branch.
